Buma Music in Motion (BMIM) returns to the Embassy for some serious matchmaking. Are you an international creative, marcom or advertising professional and want to participate to meet the best in (media)music? Or…. Are you a Dutch media composer, music supervisor, producer, sync agent or musician (or a representative) and want to join us for this genuinely useful and networking opportunity with the advertising industry? This is the place to be!

BMIM is all about bringing creatives and the music industry together. What better way to do that than for like-minded people to mingle and share fresh ideas… and a drink or two at the Music x Advertising Matchmaking Drinks.

Buma Music in Motion (BMIM) is the place in the creative industry where music and media converge. BMIM highlights the importance of music in media and spotlights the (media)composer. Year-round we partner with national and international (film)festivals (Amsterdam Dance Event, IDFA, NFF) to organize inspiring masterclasses and workshops on the one hand and matchmaking networking sessions between composers and creative professionals on the other. We also organize the Music in Media Awards where we award the best in media music in The Netherlands. Over the past 10 years some of the world’s most influential composers, music supervisors and sync agents have participated in our conference a/o Howard Shore (The Lord of The Rings), Carlos Rafael Rivera (Queen's Gambit), Cliff Martinez (Drive), Kris Bowers (Green Book), Daniel Pemberton (Slow Horses), Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things), Simon Boswell (La Excorsita), Lena Obara (Jojo Rabbit), Mark Gordon (Disney Jr), Jumi Akinfenwa (Nike, Clarkson's Farm), Leslie Ming (Triangle of Sadness), Juanto Tello (La Casa de Papel). Dutch Music Export (DME) is an initiative by Fonds Dutch Performing Arts, Buma Cultuur and Stichting Popcoalitie, created with the core mission of highlighting and strengthening the international status of Dutch pop music around the world in substantial and measurable ways. DME has a structured and sustainable plan of action in place that supports internationally active and accomplished Dutch artists, songwriters, producers and DJs who are considered viable for both mainstream and niche markets within pop-, dance-, alternative-, HipHop/R&B- and rock-genres. Strengthening the international position of Dutch pop music within the global music sector can be seen as direct market expansion, increase in professionalism by Dutch artists and their teams, increase in professional cooperations, more annual turn-over of the artists and increasing quality of Dutch pop music in the important focus-markets.
